Surface finishing of machined parts

Surface finishing is a widespread industrial process that achieves specific performance by altering the surface of manufactured parts. Surface treatment technology can be used to improve appearance, adhesion, wettability, weldability, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, wear resistance, hardness, as well as change conductivity, remove surface defects such as burrs, and control surface roughness. In some cases, these techniques can also be used to restore repaired parts to their original dimensions.
electroplating
Electroplating is a process that uses the principle of electrolysis to deposit a thin layer of specific metal or alloy on the surface of other metals. It uses electrolysis to attach a metal film to the metal or other materials to prevent metal oxidation (such as rust), improve wear resistance, conductivity, reflectivity, corrosion resistance, and enhance aesthetics. Typically, electroplating involves the following processes:
1. Galvanization
2. Tin plating
3. Nickel plating
4. Silver plating
5. Gold plating
6. Chromium plating
7. Customized electroplating
coating
Coating is a surface treatment, which can also be understood as oxidation treatment of various colors. for example
1. Blackening
2. Bluing
3. Electrophoresis
painting
Painting is a very flexible way to create different surface appearances. We can achieve:
1. Matte finish
2. Texture
3. Other coatings
Surface marking
There are multiple methods to create logos, symbols, and text on prototypes or production parts. We can provide:
1. Laser engraving
2. Silk screen
3. Transfer printing
Alodizing
A popular method for creating a decent surface for electronic products. It improves corrosion resistance, surface hardness, wear resistance, aesthetics, and adhesion between paint and primer. It also reduces conductivity, helps with heat dissipation, and reduces surface reflection. We provide:
Anodizing type 1 (oxide film thickness<5 µ m)
Anodizing type 2 (5 µ m < oxide film thickness < 30 µ m)
Anodizing type 3 (30 µ m < oxide film thickness < 120 µ m)
Surface brushing
Surface brushing is a post-processing method that achieves decorative effects through grinding and forms rope patterns on the surface of objects, which can reflect the texture of metal materials. This process is commonly used to produce home appliance panels, peripheral devices and panels for various digital products, as well as various logos on laptop panels.
The thickness of commonly used materials is 0.125, 0.175, 0.254, 0.38, 0.5, 0.8 or 1.0mm, with a transmittance of 90%.
polishing
Polishing is a machining method that utilizes mechanical, chemical, or electrochemical effects to reduce the surface roughness of workpieces and achieve a bright and smooth surface. Workpieces are usually precision machined using polishing wheels and abrasive particles or other polishing media to achieve a smooth or objective surface finish.
Sandblasting treatment
Sandblasting is a process of surface treatment for workpieces. Using compressed air as the power, the spraying material is sprayed onto the surface of the workpiece at high speed, causing changes in the appearance or shape of the workpiece surface, achieving a certain degree of cleanliness and different roughness. Improving the fatigue resistance of the workpiece, increasing the adhesion between the workpiece and the coating, prolonging the durability of the coating, and also facilitating the leveling and decoration of the paint.
Coloring
Coloring is another option for colored plastic prototypes besides painting. For example, it is a great solution for turn signals and taillights. Suitable materials for coloring:
1. Abdominal muscles
2. PMMA
3
4. PS
Surface heat treatment
Heat treatment is a metal hot working process in which materials are heated, insulated, and cooled in the solid state to obtain the required structure and properties. We can provide:
1. Localized surface quenched parts
2. Full surface quenched parts
