What is 3D printing?

3D printing (3DP) is a rapid prototyping technology, also known as additive manufacturing. This is a technique based on digital model files that uses adhesive materials such as powder metal or plastic to print and construct objects layer by layer. It is often used for model making in fields such as mold manufacturing and industrial design, and is gradually being used for direct manufacturing of some products. Widely used in industries such as jewelry, footwear, industrial design, architecture, engineering and construction (AEC), automotive, aerospace, dentistry, and healthcare.
SLA (Light Curing Stereo Forming)
By using a computer-controlled laser beam, the surface of the liquid resin used as the raw material is scanned layer by layer and cured by stacking.
Usually used in industries such as automobiles, healthcare, aviation, precision modeling, etc.
1. High efficiency: 1 to 50 pieces, delivery time of 5 days
2. High precision: 0.05MM
3. Processing size: 800 * 800 * 600mm
4. Mainly used for appearance and functional boards
SLS (Nylon Powder Laser Sintering)
Selective sintering of powder using carbon dioxide laser.
1. Using multiple materials to meet different needs.
2. Directly produce prototypes with complex shapes.
3. High precision, with a molding accuracy of up to 0.1mm
4. High material utilization rate, no need for supporting structures
5. Short production time
6. Processing size: 450 * 450 * 300mm
SLM (Metal Printing)
The principle is selective laser melting molding. Using metal powder as raw material, a prototype is manufactured by scanning the three-dimensional solid surface by surface with a laser. It is not limited by the complexity of part shape, does not require any tools, and has a wide range of applications.
1. Printing materials: stainless steel, titanium alloy, aluminum alloy, nickel based alloy, copper based alloy, etc
2. Processing size: 400mm x 400mm x 400mm
3. High precision: 0.1mm ±/100mm
4. Low cost, time-saving. Compared to CNC, 3D printing saves time, materials, and costs
Wide range of fields: human medicine and processing of complex and irregular parts.
FDM (screen printing)
The material is generally thermoplastic, such as filamentous materials such as ABS and nylon. The material is heated and melted in the nozzle, and the nozzle moves along the cross-sectional profile and filling trajectory of the part. At the same time, the melted material is extruded by the extruder, and the material quickly solidifies and solidifies with the surrounding materials.
1. Processing size 700mm * 700mm * 700mm
2. High accuracy: ± 0.3mm/100mm
3. High efficiency: not limited by the complexity of drawings
4. Widely applied in various fields such as anime, cartoons, characters, art models, etc.
